How rankings are calculated
Every firm receives a Best Solicitor Score (BSS) calculated from three weighted components:
- Review Volume (40%) — total qualifying Google reviews, with logarithmic diminishing returns (ceiling 2,000)
- Rating Quality (35%) — average Google star rating, normalised 3.0–5.0
- Review Recency (25%) — blended share and count of reviews from the last 12 months
To be ranked a firm must have a minimum of 20 qualifying Google reviews, a verified Google Place ID and a published profile.
